General Building: common questions
Do I need a structural engineer?
You will if you remove a load-bearing wall or change the structure. We can arrange the engineer and the calculations, and handle building control for you.
What about party wall agreements?
If the work affects a shared wall or comes close to a neighbour’s foundations, the Party Wall Act may apply. We’ll flag it early, so it doesn’t delay your start date.
Are you insured?
Yes. We hold public liability insurance and can provide the certificate on request.
